At Assisted Living Concepts (ALC), we understand that many seniors are not quite ready to move from their home. Perhaps they need some socialization but family members are not able to visit frequently enough. That’s why many ALC residences offer Home Visit services.

 

Home Visits Offer Support

Home Visits can provide valuable socialization for seniors as well as feedback to out of town family members regarding the overall status of their loved one. A home visit may include:

• A social visit. Seniors may appreciate the chance to just sit and chat with a friendly, reliable visitor.
• A complimentary meal.
• An assessment of the home environment and safety.
• The opportunity for individuals to ask about senior living arrangements or discuss the challenges of living at home.
• Reports to family members.
• Coordination of physician house calls or visits from home health agencies.
• Assistance with the emotional transition from home to a senior living community.
